Kalinka first discovered Pilates in 2004 while studying Exercise Science in Brazil. A simple leg circle movement caught her attention, showing her how one exercise could connect the whole body. That moment sparked a lifelong passion.
In 2007, she earned her first certification in Mat Pilates and began teaching both groups and individuals. Always eager to learn more, she pursued her Comprehensive certification in Miami with the PhysicalMind Institute in 2012. Most recently, in 2021, she completed Master Pilates training with Lolita San Miguel — one of Joseph Pilates’ original disciples. This experience deepened her love for the Method and her commitment to keep growing as both a teacher and a student.
Kalinka’s personal journey with movement has also included Capoeira, Karate, Boxing, Running, CrossFit, and Olympic Weightlifting. No matter the activity, she believes Pilates is the foundation that brings strength, control, and self-awareness to the body.
Her favorite saying from Joseph Pilates captures it best: “Change happens through movement and movement heals.”
