“For over a decade, JCompany has been a cornerstone of our lives, teaching my sons vital skills like leadership, discipline, and empathy. This organization goes beyond the stage, fostering a deep sense of community and a rare bond between families. My children felt empowered to find themselves here, while I found lifelong friends through the joy of volunteering. JCompany doesn’t just train actors; it inspires our children to be stewards of a kinder, more inclusive future.”

FAQ

In order to audition, all young artists must be registered in a Core Class. There is no additional charge to audition. Should your young artist be cast, there is a production fee.

JCompany offers four class sessions a year, as well as countless master classes. These are an excellent way to be introduced and be confident in singing, dancing, and acting! In addition, if you would like to work on your skills in greater depth, we have several incredible instructors on staff who offer year-round private lessons in voice, dance, and acting.

No. You do not have to be Jewish or a JCC member to audition. JCompany casts young artists regardless of gender identity, religious affiliation, ethnic background, sexual orientation, economic status, or center participation. Young artists need only be within the stated age range for any given class or production.

All JCompany auditions are group auditions. Ten to fifteen other young artists will also participate in the 30-minute slot. Artistic Director, Joey Landwehr along with the show’s music director, choreographer, and accompanist will be in the room. Sorry, parents– we know you would like to be present, but only artists and JCC staff are allowed in the audition room.
