Tsofim Caravan brings pre-teens from across San Diego together for an unforgettable summer packed with adventure, friendship, and nonstop fun! Campers bond through sports, games, art, music, swimming, overnights, and shared experiences that create lifelong memories. Each two-week session includes one week of classic camp fun and one themed adventure week—best of both worlds!

Session Adventures:

Session 1 – Mission Bay Aquatic Center (Week 2)*
Get wet and wild with tubing, knee boarding, and sun-soaked fun at the bay—one of the most popular sessions of the summer! 

Session 2 – Whitewater Rafting (Week 2)*
Week one is all about fun in San Diego, then it’s off to Northern California for an epic rafting adventure! Campers hike, raft, camp by the river, and enjoy sing-alongs and s’mores along the Kings or American River.

Session 3 – Adventure Awaits (Both Weeks)*
Buckle up for nonstop thrills! From roller coasters and water parks to a one-of-a-kind overnight at SeaWorld—campers explore the park after hours, sleep inside the Turtle Encounter, enjoy behind-the-scenes experiences, and finish with a ride on the iconic Giant Dipper at Belmont Park. 

Session 4 – Paddle Sports (Week 1)*
Back by popular demand! Head to the beach for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding with expert instructors from Mission Bay Aquatic Center.

Join the fun at our Purim Camp! We offer a variety of exciting, hands-on activities, from making your own sparkly slime to crafting unique yarn monsters. Each camp day is filled with outdoor play, group games, creative crafts, science experiments, and so much more!

Join us for a fun and educational Shavuot experience for preschoolers! Our holiday camp introduces children to the traditions of Shavuot through hands-on activities, crafts, and games. Highlights include:

• Storytime: Engaging stories about the giving of the Torah.
• Dairy Fun: Delicious dairy snacks and fun cooking activities like making cheese blintzes.
• Flower Crafts: Creative projects, including making paper flowers and flower crowns.
• Interactive Games: Torah parades, scavenger hunts, and singing Shavuot songs.
• Outdoor Fun: Nature walks and a Shavuot-themed picnic.

A perfect way for young children to explore Shavuot through play, creativity, and tradition!

Only for children enrolled in the Nierman Preschool

We will gather in our classroom for a quick morning circle, then off to play, explore and get messy! Enjoy gym with our PE Specialist Coach Dru, and finish off our day outside in the smaller preschool playground. Every class will incorporate music and movement, the Jewish holidays will be celebrated, and each day ends with bubbles and stamps.

Join us for a fun filled a weeks of Passover Camp! There will be Dance and Movement everyday, frog and pillow case art, matzah and pizza baking to add to the fun.

Campers will immerse themselves in a world of movement and rhythm as they explore a wide variety of dance styles, including Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Gymnastics, Bollywood, Asian, Spanish, Latin, and more! Each style provides a unique opportunity to master new techniques, express creativity, and celebrate the vibrant cultures that inspire these dances. Whether it's leaping through a jazz routine, tapping out intricate rhythms, or bringing Bollywood flair to life, campers will build confidence, flexibility, and a true appreciation for the art of dance.

Campers in Kochavim audition for a role in their session’s production. Each camper is cast in a show and learns about the stage, backstage, costumes, makeup, scenery, and performing. All campers practice their singing, dancing, and acting skills. In addition to rehearsing their production, campers enjoy swim lessons, arts & crafts, sports, field trips, and theatre outings. At the end of each session, there will be a performance of a beloved musical production by the campers.

Back by popular demand, Shalomaland returns for a second season to explore San Diego’s Jewish history! Guided by Dr. Joellyn Zollman, we’ll visit key sites and uncover the city’s vibrant Jewish legacy, from pioneer Louis Rose to visionary Jonas Salk, in this four-session class.

Louis Rose Point at Liberty Station, Point Loma

Joellyn takes us on a journey of Louis Rose and his contributions to San Diego with a walking tour of the former naval training center Liberty Station. Starting at Louis Rose point, a plaque dedicated to Louis Rose - first Jewish pioneer developer of San Diego - we will walk around the park as Joellyn shares Rose's lasting impact on America's Finest City.

Temple Beth Israel at Heritage Park in Old Town

After visiting Temple Beth Israel in our last session, we now head to its second home—Ohr Shalom Synagogue. Along the way, we’ll explore Banker’s Hill and learn about Jewish life in downtown San Diego after World War II.
