Join us for a fun-filled, jam-packed, 45 minute class of music and movement with Jennifer Meltzer. We will explore and play with various instruments, sing, move our bodies, and even enjoy some special stories. Fridays (Shabbat Themed).

This three-part class will explore the history of Jewish food from biblical times through modern day. In examining the diverse Jewish food culture, you will get the opportunity to appreciate the deep-rooted traditions of Ashkenazi, Sephardi, and Mizrachi cooking while weaving together the beautiful tapestry of Jewish peoplehood. Each session will include a tasting component and/or a cooking demonstration.

Young performers will sing, dance, and act the summer away! Campers will play theatre games, learn theatre terms, and focus on facial expression, body language, and projection. They will also participate in swim lessons, arts & crafts, sports, and field trips. The fourth week of each session campers will culminate and present a showcase for family and friends.

Back by popular demand, Shalomaland returns for a second season to explore San Diego’s Jewish history! Guided by Dr. Joellyn Zollman, we’ll visit key sites and uncover the city’s vibrant Jewish legacy, from pioneer Louis Rose to visionary Jonas Salk, in this four-session class.

Starting at Louis Rose point, a plaque dedicated to Louis Rose - first Jewish pioneer developer of San Diego - we will walk around the park as Joellyn shares Rose's lasting impact on America's Finest City.

We will gather in our classroom for a quick morning circle, then off to play, explore and get messy! Enjoy gym with our PE Specialist Coach Dru, and finish off our day outside in the smaller preschool playground. Every class will incorporate music and movement, the Jewish holidays will be celebrated, and each day ends with bubbles and stamps.

Following the delicious Our Shabbat Table program with cookbook author and chef Kitty Morse, we're excited to bring you a cooking class with recipes straight out of Kitty's cookbook, Bittersweet. Led by esteemed San Diego chef and educator Debbie Kornberg, this is a fun afternoon where you get to learn a new Jewish recipe and meet some new friends.

Join us for a fun and educational Shavuot experience for preschoolers! Our holiday camp introduces children to the traditions of Shavuot through hands-on activities, crafts, and games. Highlights include:

• Storytime: Engaging stories about the giving of the Torah.
• Dairy Fun: Delicious dairy snacks and fun cooking activities like making cheese blintzes.
• Flower Crafts: Creative projects, including making paper flowers and flower crowns.
